Roehl Transport’s John Moeller Recognized for Four Million Miles of Safe Driving - "John sets a great example for everyone here at Roehl. His dedication to his job and safe driving are commendable..."

Marshfield, WI--Roehl Transport recently recognized John Moeller for reaching four million consecutive miles driven without a preventable accident. Although a handful of drivers have reached three million miles of safe driving, this is the first time a Roehl driver has reached the impressive four million mile mark. In fact, few professional over the road drivers reach four million miles, let alone four million accident-free miles as John has done.

Moeller has been a driver with Roehl’s Flatbed/Curtainside division since 1979 and has won numerous honors for safety, efficiency and performance. In May of 2009, Moeller was called upon to complete Roehl’s very first delivery to Alaska. Despite challenging road conditions, under Moeller’s care the load arrived safely. Moeller and his wife, Debbie, have three children and live in Marshfield.

In his plain spoken and humble way Moeller said, "I’m thankful I’ve never had an accident. I have always watched what was going on around me. It’s my job to get the load to its destination safely," he added. Moeller’s understated demeanor belies his incredible professional achievement. The four million consecutive miles he’s driven without an accident is equivalent to traveling from the Earth to the moon and back eight times or around the world over 160 times.

Safety is the cornerstone value for Moeller and everyone at Roehl. The company’s stringent safety programs and their commitment to improving overall highway safety are so effective that in 2009 the Truckload Carriers Association awarded Roehl its second consecutive grand prize in the National Fleet Safety Awards.
