NYK Appointed to Support Evenflo in Emea and India - For over 85 years, Evenflo has been a worldwide leader in the development of innovative infant equipment and is now one of the nation's leading manufacturers of high quality baby care and juvenile products.

04/05/10 -- To help develop its business in Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and India, Evenflo has appointed NYK Logistics North Continent as its logistics service provider. Since March 2010, NYK Logistics’ warehouse in Antwerp has functioned as the European Distribution Centre (EDC) for Evenflo, which manufactures baby care products and equipment for infants. The merchandise, mainly breast pumps and accessories, is stored in the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) licensed area of the warehouse and is handled with the greatest care by speciallytrained employees.

Throughout this initial phase of the operation, NYK is handling 50 orders and receive two containers each month. At the same time, approximately 100 pallets will be stored in the EDC. The Antwerp warehouse is a bonded warehouse with a customs department that can handle all associated formalities relating to Evenflo’s operational activities. Other administrative formalities, such as VAT settlement, are also managed by NYK.
