 DHL appoints new Managing Director for Global Forwarding operations in Malaysia - "Dennis has played a key role in our Malaysian operations and has delivered strong results since he joined us."
Singapore, 1 June 2010 -- DHL, the world’s leading logistics company, today announced the appointment of Dennis van der Meijs as Managing Director of DHL Global Forwarding Malaysia. Van der Meijs, who was a Regional Trade Lane Manager in Singapore before becoming acting managing director prior to this appointment, will report to Sam Ang, CEO, Southeast Asia, DHL Global Forwarding.

We’re pleased to formally appoint him as Managing Director of DHL Global Forwarding Malaysia. Dennis’ main focus will be on enhancing our offering of integrated yet simplified solutions to our customers in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), electronics, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and automotive sectors."

Van der Meijs joined DHL in 1998 and has been in the freight forwarding industry for 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Marketing from the College of Economics and Business Administration in The Netherlands and has experience in sales and marketing, operations and general management.
